Did the Democrats gain Maine in 2006? No.

Or 2008. With a legitimate candidate.

Mathews keeps ion saying IN, this time that the Democrats could "easily lose."  Is he seeing something we're not?

Primary him with a liberal. It's not like we need him for 60 votes any more. A liberal in Indiana can't be a longer shot than a teabagger in Massachusetts.

I like the guy, but the way things are going, I'm going to be a liberal by the fall.

Pence should run, actually.  I think it'd be the right move for him, he's clearly not particularly interested in staying static in the House.

Ironically, I'm not a big Pence fan and kinda like Bayh.

A lot of looked impregnable yesterday looks weak tonight.

Yeah, every seat looks winnable now, 100 Republican senators in 2014?

Not quite, but maybe 63.  Wink   MA was never on my top tier list.

Bayh just said that they should not move forward on health care (he was joined by Webb).

Sheesh, I don't think anyone was thinking that Democrats could win Utah after Begich beat Stevens. Who was an equally horrible candidate.

Bayhs going to be fine.  Hes already started his pivot (and for that matter Webb has too, far before he even has to run again).  I like Bayh and would vote for him - hes one of the more trustworthy democrats and helps us out when were in power on financial legislation and national security legislation.  I dont see Indiana voting him out unless Daniels runs against him - which he wont.  Hed probably end up somewhere like Jon Kyl/Jim Pedersen circa 2006.

Now, Im keeping my eye on Feingold and Boxer.  They seem to be the next possible people that could be swept in a wave.  Though they are in more liberal states - they are also more prolific and in a populist wave with a decent candidate...

I'm pretty sure no one is claiming a snarky comment about an impossibility, yes, I'm pretty sure about that as well

The likely Republican nominee is the biggest joke of a congressman in Indiana history. I'm not concerned.

We're looking at what could be a very good GOP year.  I would keep an eye on this one.

Sorry, but it is not going to be another 1994 or 1980. Not enough to force Evan out

Cool dude, just hand another seat to some crazy Republican just because Democratic incumbent is not as liberal as we would want him Tongue

Mathews just put Bayh on the "endangered" list.

And for the record, I like Bayh and I am not a particular fan of Pence (one name mentioned).
