Other:  No taxation.  It is theft, which ought to be against the law.

How do you propose to pay for our national defense?  Yes, I am picking the one issue, with which you might not feel it all that easy to say, screw it, we don't need it.

Well, SPC's solution is for the military to run solely on private donations.  I couldn't get him to explain that in greater detail.  If that's the answer, the Pentagon had better find a Jerry Lewis to do the telethon.

No one has ever answered that question rationally.  And not just about defense, but about roads, bridges, schools, policing, prisons, health care.  Oh, I've heard the standard --  "it will be like the old days when the American Spirit was to do for yourself and forge a life out of the wilderness" and some such balderdash.  But what the "ban all taxation" crowd is really saying is that the road and bridge fairies will take care of us.

We can differ over how much to tax, what to tax, whom to tax and what sort of taxation to engage in.  But not to tax is tantamount to national suicide.  (Aside from being a betrayal of the whole concept of "promoting the general welfare" and "providing for the common defense".)
