PiT, don't take into account Cherkassy.

I had a hard time finding out much about it. Do you mean the Battle of the Korsun-Cherkassy Pocket?

Battle of Pearl Harbor

The Battles of Narvik should be included, btw.

     I will do that.

Battle of Leyte Gulf. That the Allies had more boats involved than Japan did planes says a lot about how badly weakened Japan's forces were by this point. The outcome of the battle was unsurprisingly lopsided.

Yep, but I'm a bit biased towards Waffen-SS battles, so don't take it into account !

Battle of Leyte Gulf
You're right, PiT.

Battle of Shanghai

Well, I must acknowledge the Chinese battles aren't very interesting and had (sometimes) an importance only for the Chinese civil war AFTER, but not for WW2.

Battles of Narvik (a pretty small scale battle over an out-of-the-way neutral country)
Siege of Leningrad (a huge siege that lasted from 1941 to 1944 unsuccessfully; sieges tend to be among the less interesting battles IMO)

Battle of Greece

Well, if it was only Creta, why not, but, with all these immunities, we have to pick one...

Battle of the Netherlands. The Battle of Greece saw a large number of Italian casualties, so it is somewhat distinguished from the other pre-Battle of France encounters. I don't know if the Battle of the Netherlands was as noteworthy.
