It's not open yet. I'll probably open it in about 24 hours.

Are we voting for the most interesting one? The one we'd prefer to have fought in? The bloodiest?

It's up to you to develop your own criteria. I'll probably be voting off the less interesting ones first.

Is the voting open? If so, Battle of the Philippine Sea.

Looking over it, you're absolutely right. I only have one battle from Eastern Europe. I'm thinking I might add Operation Torch, the Siege of Leningrad, & the Battle of Moscow.

Giving it thought, I'll add the Siege of Leningrad, Battle of Moscow, Tunisian Campaign, & Allied Invasion of Sicily at the beginning of the second round. I always welcome suggestions for more battles to add.

Kursk really ought to... and then there's various events in Warsaw (if they count).

I'll also add the Battle of Kursk. I'm not sure how major the Warsaw Uprising was, though.

Also, might you consider voting in this round while you're here? Wink

Great idea. Sorry not to have given you ideas earlier.

Maybe the last change you can make is splitting Landings in Normandy from the Argentan-Falaise Pocket, which is clearly a great battle and a distinct one.

Oh, and a specific item for Cherkassy might be fine, but, well, you can add names again and again.

For round 1, I vote for Battle of Singapore.

Not very interesting, I must say...

Battle of Yugoslavia. It was basically just Germany walking over a nation that was using hopelessly outdated military technology.

Great idea. Sorry not to have given you ideas earlier.

Thanks, I'll look into including them.

PiT, don't take into account Cherkassy.
But as for splitting Argentan-Falaise pocket from landings in Normandy, I really think you should do it Wink
