Battle of Britain
Battle of Moscow
Battle of Midway
Guadalcanal Campaign
Battle of Stalingrad
Battle of Kursk-The Battle of Kursk refers to German and Soviet operations on the Eastern Front of World War II in the vicinity of the city of Kursk in July and August 1943. It remains both the largest series of armoured clashes, including the Battle of Prokhorovka, and the costliest single day of aerial warfare to date. It was the last strategic offensive the Germans were able to mount in the east. The resulting decisive Soviet victory gave the Red Army the strategic initiative for the rest of the war.
Battle of the Philippine Sea-The Battle of the Philippine Sea (aka "The Great Marianas Turkey Shoot") was a decisive naval battle of World War II, and the largest aircraft carrier battle in history.  The engagement proved disastrous for the Imperial Japanese Navy, which lost three aircraft carriers and some 600 aircraft, termed by Americans the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot. These losses are largely attributed to the obsolescence of the Japanese aircraft and the inexperience of the Japanese carrier aircrew—many experienced pilots had died during the Guadalcanal campaign, Midway, and other engagements)
Battle of Normandy
Battle of the Bulge
Battle of the Dnieper-The Lower Dnieper Offensive (also known as the "Battle of the Lower Dnieper") of took place in 1943 during the Second World War. It was one of the largest Second World War operations, involving almost 4,000,000 troops on both sides and stretching on a 1400 kilometers long front. During this four-month operation, the eastern bank of the Dnieper was recovered from German forces by five of the Red Army's Fronts, which conducted several river assault crossings to establish several bridgeheads on the western bank.
Battle of Kharkov
Siege of Sevastopol
Battle of Smolensk-Staged almost simultaneously with the Lower Dnieper Offensive (13 August – 22 September), the offensive lasted two months...Its goal was to clear the Nazi Germany presence from the Smolensk and Bryansk regions. Smolensk had been under German occupation since the first Battle of Smolensk in 1941.
Vistula-Oder OffensiveThe Vistula-Oder Offensive was a successful Red Army operation on the Eastern Front in the European Theatre of World War II; it took place between 12 January, 1945 and 2 February, 1945. The offensive took Soviet forces from their start lines on the Vistula river in Poland to the Oder river deep in Germany, about seventy kilometers from the capital Berlin.
Battle of Falaise Pocket-The battle of the Falaise Pocket, fought during the Second World War from 12–21 August 1944, was the decisive engagement of the Battle of Normandy. Taking its name from the area around the town of Falaise within which the German Seventh and Fifth Panzer Armies became encircled by the advancing Western Allies, the battle is also referred to as the Falaise Gap after the corridor which the Germans sought to maintain to allow their escape. The battle resulted in the destruction of the bulk of Germany's forces west of the River Seine, and opened the way to Paris and the German border.

OK, PiT has agreed I take this one in charge.

Of course, if there is only Dead0man and me as voters, I'll suspend it.

For the moment:

Battle of Smolensk

Not the main one(s) on the Eastern Front: it was "just" the location of fightings that were led in the normal of course of events; no specific stake here.

Eliminate Battle of the Bulge
(well, it was impossible for Germany to win here, so its relative strategic importance isn't so high)

Keep Battle of Falaise Pocket
(it was the real last chance on the Western front, so I try to keep it for 1 or 2 more rounds Wink)
