I would rather have my eyes gouged out than vote for Debs.
lol he was probably the most principled politician to ever exist in American politics.
No, probably not.

Because TR might harm me physically.  (TR is the history nerd equivalent to Chuck Norris)

So why would you want to give him power?

LOL.

HE ALREADY HAS POWER

George McGovern.
I love the McGovern but he was never imprisoned for speaking out against the Vietnam War.

Let me get this straight: You're afraid of voting for him because you are afraid of his power?
LOLWut?
Shouldn't your goal be to either keep his power stagnant or reduce it?
I'm sorry your logic makes no sense.

Though I have to save that the more I learn about 1912, I'd get a headache deciding who to vote for (between Roosevelt and Taft).

Arr crap, spelling fail on my part.
Sh*t happens. I meant to say "afraid of not" voting for him. English was not my best subject to say the least.
However, now that it is corrected explain how your logic works.

Aint mine either.

But the joke was that I'd be afraid of being hit by a big stick, in retribution for not voting for him.  Plus TR is awesome.

Though I would have voted for TR in 1904, by 1912 TR would have struck me as just a tad off his rocker and his turning against Taft was really based on nothing close to reality. So I would have voted for Taft.

Because I despise big government.

That said, the other candidates suck too.

Wilson was a racist, mysogynstic, interventionist moron who created the Fed and income tax.

TR increased the government's power by signing into law tons of crappy 'progressive' legislation and reducing the power of business.

Taft was a poor man's TR.

In my opinion 1912 was probably the most colorful and fun election in our history.
