Okay, so I frequently type in questions on the internet. I always get a link to Yahoo answers. Then as I'm reading, I realize that many of the people there have no ability to think intellectually or reason. Example: D Day Fails:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081123131119AAw8nzQ

It seems like many of the people are morons. Do you agree?

I get a bunch of random answers that don't deserve to be there.

"We would be speaking German, lol!"

It annoys me.

At risk of turning myself into a walking Encyclopedia Dramatica, I have to pass along this:

Courtesy of the goons at somethingawful.com.  It's the first thing I think of whenever I see Yahoo Answers.

Aside from some spelling issues, there wasn't really a problem with the question.  There were many problems with the answers.

Oh, ok - but yeah, I noticed the spelling errors.

Well, you got simple basic answers that would be the first ones that would come to the mind of people being asked that, that's not Atlas Forum's past TL, or a chair of Oxford or Harvard, or a forum of historians, that's Yahoo answers. Random people randomly answering to random questions. And well, from my point of view, all the answers to a question about remaking the past are heresy, so it doesn't matter to my point of view how they are simple or complex, but that's just personal.

The only times i used it was to find a song. I had an answer very quickly, the good one.

Two years ago it was infested with Paulites, 9/11 truthers, and North American Union conspiracy theorists.

I never went on Google Answers when it was operational. I wish I had, if the people there were of such erudition.

It's posed wrong. It doesn't ask "what would have to have happened first for this to happen" by the second clause of the second sentence. That, of course, is what's wrong with all popular alternative history.

It's not even an answerable question.

Yes, that is hilarious. Reminds me of this quote, but only with "President" instead of "Mayor".

See, that's good that the guy had Yahoo answers, now he knows there isn't a president in England.

Yay Yahoo answers!
