Oh HELL NO - If Arpaio runs Im voting third party, and for the dems on this board who do not know Arizona, Arpaio would get elected if he ran - no joke, he always does because of his gigantic lead among seniors.  I don't want the guy who ambushes innocent people on their way home to ever be my governor.  Our cops, and I love the police force, but our cops are Arpaios minions, and get people on the most lame charges.

It's one thing to be tough on crime, and as much as I admire him for standing against Obama on immigration policy - no, just, no...

Yes, turning Maricopa County into a police state is certainly qualification for governor.
