Which of these two is the "good guy" in the race? I need to know who to root for in the inevitable ensuing recount chaos.

There's nothing to recount in Georgia, as far as I know.

I don't know exactly. Smiley

But, here is Reed's website: http://www.kasimreed.com/

and Mary Norwood's: http://www.marynorwoodformayor.com/

Reed has the better website, so I shall endorse him.

Wow, far better. Why is Norwood's website such an epic fail?

New numbers from today, supposedly NOT including provisional ballots:

ATLANTA MAYOR (including DeKalb)   84076 total votes   (170 precincts reporting of 170)
100.00% reporting

KASIM REED    42348    50.37%
MARY NORWOOD    41728    49.63%

It's within the margin for a recount - whatever that would entail in GA.

The AJC has a graphic up of the vote by council district:

Norwood lost the more racially mixed CDs 2 and 9, which she won with a plurality of the vote in the general election.  Turnout was actually up from the general election.

According to the AJC, the vote tally has been certified.  Best I can tell, they are the numbers in my last post.  Reed is claiming victory and says he will begin planning his transition.  Norwood has requested a recount, as permitted by Georgia law.

100.00% reporting

KASIM REED            42,549    50.42%
MARY NORWOOD    41,835    49.58%
