Will George choose any of the top three? Will he choose a Northerner or a Southerner and if so who? Or is their another person you'd think?

I think he'll stick with Cheney.

Bush would never change VPs. Once King George decides something, he rarely if ever swerves from that course.  Changes VPs midstream would be tantamount to admitting he was mistaken, and Karl Rove would never let that happen.

Well you do if that horse is rushing dead on into disaster, like dubya Wink

But seriously, Bush just charges on ahead as if he is always correct.  He got on the Attack Iraq!! Attack Iraq!! path and he never slowed down or deviated to let some allies on board.

I was quoting the ad of the reelection campaign of the president that had to resort to songs like 'We guard America's borders' and 'Old Shoe'... Wink

I'm sure he'd like to keep it that way if the shadow administration conspiracy theories are to be believed (which for the record I don't).

I love how the Dems trashed Bush for picking so many people in his cabinet that were experienced in White House politics. Like experience is a bad thing? If I had the connections that our current President has I'd do the same thing.

I'm inclined to agree with you there. Picking Cheney was a good move on Bush's behalf since it immediately cancelled out GWB's perceived inexperience.

I wish it weren't going to be Cheney, but I've given up on that dream.

Out of curiosity, who else would you like to see as Bush's running mate?

I think thast while Cheney is a lead weight to the campaign if he switched running mates now it would look like a political move to win the election and wouldn't bode well with the people. I admit Cheney has done a pretty good job as VP, but the media has run him over the coals a good many time, usually for good reasons. Bush has no joice though, Cheney and he rather sail or sink together. If I were Bush I wouldn't change, if I did I'd definately pick a Northerner, an Ohio, New York or New Hampshire (that could be interesting) Senator or something like that, try to stop Kerry in the Northeast.

How about Bill Taft III or Bunning?

I do like Cheney, he is capable of thinking through a decision on his own, and understands the world of Washington.

Cheney has the smarts, but with his heart problems I can't see how he can do a good job. Alan Keyes should be VP. Smiley

Alan Keyes was a nutcase. Any candidate who stays until the convention is a nutcase.

Alan Keyes is awesome. People are just not ready to vote in a black catholic conservative.
