Yes. And then preferably fence them in.

Does it hurt to be such a crypto-Marxist?

Yes.

Though not because their philosophy is instantiated there.

This is why we can't get sh**t done.  People really think it's uber cool to make fun of other people for their politics.

Personally, I don't think libertarians have any impact on whether things get done.

Regardless, why is it necessary to demean other human beings for their political beliefs?

Whilst perhaps not necessary, people are going to do it anyway, free speech is famed for producing views that others don't like.  Besides, it's not like libertarianism is the only ideology to receive flak from left, right and centre (both figuratively and literally).

Because some political beliefs are extreme and dangerous.

I don't say this very often, but I will now.

"I've always thought that libertarians should be for the New World Order. Think about it. Less states = more freedom. 500 years ago, Britain was ruled by fascist monarchs who would have you killed if you critisized them in public, and that was obviously a long time before the UN, EU, etc."

There are crazy libertarians like Alex Jones, but most libertarians are fairly sane.

Nobody to have posted in this thread yet is a radical libertarian. About half of the posters self-described as such are not libertarian at all.

The proper meaning of 'radical' is ultra left-wing. So, yes, you're right.
