Looking at his wikipedia page, he seemed like a solid Senator. Might have made a good President if Shelby hadn't beaten him.

Pretty much a Christo-Fascist.  Like McCain, his military sacrifice for this country is worthy of our admiration and gratitude.  But the guy was pretty much a tool as a Senator.
