Didn't you complain that he was gone so much that his supposed inactivity would cause a problem with a possible Franzl presidency? It seems odd that you would suddenly support nominating him for a position that requires constant attention after that, but okay.

I'm not going to make this a partisan race. Not only do I like and respect Franzl, I also consider him a friend to me. I am in the running for the position simply because I believe I am the most active of the Senators and well qualified to run the Senate for the time being.

I would similarly appreciate it if any of those out there who oppose me would also not make it a partisan matter. This is only about who could run the Senate the best.

Now please, let's be adult about this.

That is true. But from a partisan standpoint it would be wrong for the RPP to endorse the most liberal Senator for such a position.

I say this because I do not think that either of our sitting Senators are ready to handle such a heavy load- Yankee is, well, crazy, and Tmthforu is a bit too new and needs to focus on re-election. So it only makes sense to endorse either Franzl or afleitch, but since Franzl is the longest serving... Grin

I would consider running for this but for three reasons I won't. First I don't have time, Second I am still a little unstable if you know what I mean, and lastly the senate might be a little slow going if the PPT had to wait for a Mod to approve his posts. Tongue

This is not a partisan position, Hamilton. I was happy to support MasterJedi over Afleitch at one point in time because I believed him to be the best person for running the Senate, despite him being a rather Conservative member.

I only expect the same consideration in return.

Compared to what my PPT term would have been, it sucked.  You really missed the ball as I expected you would.

You must be psychic, ask any other Senator who served during that term and you will see that no one else feels as you do.

I am not a candidate for PPT, and I will happily vote for Marokai for this position.

Starting Friday, I will be back to my normal level of activity (for the most part), and I'm looking forward to the presidential campaign above all.

In order to focus on that, and to make sure that bills move through the Senate as quickly as possible (there's no denying that Marokai is incredibly active), I believe he should have the job.
