When Paterson became Governor, I said then that he would be a caretaker Governor until the serious candidates stepped forward.  I feel vidicated.

This opens the way for Cuomo.

Giuliani would wipe the floor with Paterson if these were the candidates.

"I think Governor Paterson's numbers are about the same as Governor Corzine's numbers, and yet the president was with Governor Corzine and I don't know whether there's been a request for Governor Corzine to step down in New Jersey.  I just find it to be stunning and also rather bold."  –Michael Steele
