Opinion of the rebuilding of Warsaw, identical wanted

What do you think about the fact they tried to rebuild Warsaw after the war identically to what it was before?

I'd personally rather say negative, though I can't judge those who did it, especially in a so injured nation that Poland has been during this war, but well, for the principle, I don't like it.

Warsaw is not alone, some places in France tried to do the same, the "Grand Place" in Arras for example iirc.

The fact we have someone living in Warsaw is of course a plus for this debate.

Fortunatelly old town and many other historical objects were rebiulded identically and in many cases by using a rubbles when it was possible
