Could also be lolpublicadvocate.  I voted for him today under the rationale "a useless man for a useless position".

Also, I can't vote for a white man married to a black woman.  Or a tool for the criminal enterprise called the Working Families party.  Actually, markgreen is also a tool for them, but I consider him an ineffectual tool, so I'm ok with it.

Also - I should note that four council incumbents lost their primaries, a fifth trails by 90 votes and a sixth is only ahead by 6 votes.  A number of other big names got relatively weak numbers - Christine Quinn (speaker) didn't top 55% (lol).

This is quite rare in NYC Council politics - incumbents normally cruise (I'm sure Al has the numbers) - tells me that there is a bit of an anti-incumbent undercurrent in the populace.  Which is the reason why Bloomberg is going to be spending so much money. 

FWIW, in mayor's race, I will be voting for some 3rd party.

In the rest of my ballot, I joke-voted the Mayoral primary and voted for Yassky in the Comptroller's race.  I know Yassky personally - he's weak, but fairly honest.  I'll show up for the runoff too - no way I'm letting a slimy Oriental candidate who lied about working in a sweatshop as a child control the city's finances.  Not going to say who I voted for in Council - he didn't win, however.

Never fear.  The odious Mark Green shall be back again soon, undertaking another losing effort to run for some unimportant office that should be abolished.  It's what he does best.  Manhattan Borough President is a useless enough post.
