I guess this is where I will reside during my stay in the Senate.

Just gonna have a brief statement at the moment:

I would like to thank all of my supporters in this election for helping me get to where I am today. It wasn't easy, but we stuck in there and pulled it through.

Though I am disappointed that my fellow party member's did not make it to the senate with me, I look forward to working with the four senators that won re-election. I also congratulate them at this time, for their efforts in this election. There were 93 voters which shows our democracy in Atlasia is alive and strong.

Again, thank you to my supporters, and I hope this senate can get some great things done.

Indeed, though our other members ultimately failed, we performed much better than last time, and you tied for the highest number of first preferences.

That's the swearing in thread. There is a form you'll use, you should be able to easily figure out what to do. Wink

Somebody will have to verify this, but I believe it starts a week from Friday. The constitution says at noon on the first Friday of the month after the election.

Thanks Tongue

I was initially elected in a special election, and the standards for taking office are different for those, so I never knew the proper way.

Statement:

"As you may know, or not, I have recently changed my party alliance to the Democratic Alliance. I feel this is in my best interest to do so, as I did not feel comfortable in the RPP anymore. The elitism of the leadership, among other things, contributed to this decision. I did not take this decision lightly. It has come after long thought, and discussion with some close friends from different parties.
However, I want to make one thing clear. My beliefs have not changed. I am still fairly conservative, and I hope that is welcome in the DA. But while I am conservative, I am not unwilling to work with members of the JCP to get important legislation passed. I am sure that once you see my votes in the senate, I will be right at home in the DA. This is not a rebuttal of the RPP in general, but rather of its leadership, and management style. I still have many good friends in the party, and wish those members the best. Thank you, and I open up the floor to any questions."

Yes, welcome to the party. It's great that your beliefs havent changed, it would be quite upsetting if one did that while changing their party affiliation.
