How far outside the pale does a person have to go in order to deserve an honest response from a congressman? Doesn't repeated and sincere comparisons to Nazis count? I don't think Republicans owe the Code Pink protesters anything when they show the kind of disrespect this woman did.

As Frank said, her speech shows the value of the 1st Amendment... and so does his.

Where should I go to find out more about this town hall? Who else did he put down and what had they said?

Given that the "crazies" made a concerted effort to turn these town halls into disruptive shoutfests and this was clear weeks before this particular meeting was held, I can't say I disagree with Frank being prepared for people who did not want his response but only wanted to scare and shriek for the cameras. The response from the crowd indicates that most of the people there were looking for a discussion other than what this conservative FF was bringing with her Hitler pictures and accusations of Frank's sympathizing with Nazi policies.

I'm just judging from the news reports and highlights I saw last night.  I'd guess that YouTube might be a good place to start for a citizen journalist sort of footage.

While it's understood that the opponents of health care aren't interested in a debate, just a shouting match of talking points, I couldn't help but come away with the idea that Barney Frank wasn't interested in much more than a shouting match of talking points either.  (How many times does George Bush need to be mentioned in a August 2009 meeting on health care, anyway?)

This month Rush Limbaugh promoted the idea that Obama's health care logo looks like a swastika and how the Nazis hated big business, promoted big government, etc. Palin's comment on euthanasia is a standard link to Nazi practice that pro-life conservatives will make when criticizing abortion or, in this case, "death panels."
