JC, this is actually something I've been wondering too. So (this is the only time ever I will say this) it's good that you started this thread.

I'd like to see the 2000 and 2004 Election Nights, even though they might be painful to watch.

I've downloaded from torrent six hours of CNN 2008 election night coverage.
Other than that I haven't found anything.

I wonder why DWTL didn't say it before. Cheesy Anyways, I suspected that the reason why you don't have this is because people like DWTL governed your country for 20 of the last 28 years...

The Ina is a gift of God. And every self-respecting and non-joke nation needs it. That includes the US and Canada (the CBC archives are the next best thing, though).

The 1960, 1968, and 1976 Election Nights would be interesting to see too.

Don't suppose you could be persuaded to get them up on YouTube somehow?

Certainly. I've seen some replays of the 1960 election night coverage. Back then all of the numbers had to be updated by hand; there was a huge board showing the latest totals from each state, and you'd see the guy in the background going up and changing the numbers as new results came in.

Every so often here in the UK, BBC Parliament (the UK's version of C-Span) shows an old election night in full.

I recorded MSNBC's coverage of the Iowa Caucus in full just for this purpose.

This isn't the whole night, but I think a good hour+ of CBS coverage of Election 1992 begins here:

There's some post election night coverage of 1996 on CNN posted on YouTube. Here's the link to Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5uVsiExRvU
It goes on from there; I think there are about 5 or 6 parts to this (give or take a few).

Someone uploaded 6 1/2 hours of election night 1980, starting at roughly 7 PM Eastern:
