I wouldn't be so sure about Winchester.  But Frederick will be safe GOP for the next 3 cycles at least.

I'm currently in Howard County.  I'm thinking that Kerry will get like 80% here.

Luzerne Co, PA.   Very Democratic.  Both Luzerne and Lackawanna counties will be in Kerry's column.

Plymouth twp.

Bush 57.6%
Gore  39.8%

Plymouth City

Bush   2366    49.3%
Gore    2243    46.7%

for some reason it's a lot closer in the City where I live

The township is basically the rural parts just outside the city proper. I live in Mankato, where Gore won by around 6 points despite Nader taking 7%, (can't look up the exact numbers now since I don't have a membership), but in Mankato township, it went something like Bush 56%, Gore 37%, Nader 5%. That's also pretty similar to what the rural parts that make up the rest of the county went.

Kerry might actually win your city then. It was pretty close in 2000, I don't think Bush even got 50%. The inner suburbs here are pretty much split dead 50/50.

Luzerne Co, PA.   Very Democratic.  Both Luzerne and Lackawanna counties will be in Kerry's column.

I hope so.  It seems as if upstate and central PA are trending conservative.  My guess is that's more social conservative though.  It's funny, the suburbs around Philly which were once GOP stongholds (Reagan even said it in 1988) are now electing Democrats.

Correction: Luzerne and Lackawanna have both trended *towards* the Democrats recently.

Know where I'm worried about... the Lehigh Valley.  Despite it's Democratic industrial roots, they voted for neo-Con Pat Toomey 3 times and also 2:1 over Specter for the Senate!  I went to Lehigh U for a while and God that is a depressing area.  I do not see how that area can be Republican.

Somerset County in 2000:

Gore - 3,785 (49.8%)
Bush - 3,609 (47.5%)
Nader - 142 (1.9%)

oddly enough, the only county on the Eastern Shore that went for Gore in 2000. hard to say who'll get it this time. I'll guess Kerry.

while I have no clue how Toomey got elected there to begin with, remember that only Republicans voted in that primary. It makes perfect sense the Republicans in Toomey's district would vote for him by that margin.

It's funny as I drive up Rt. 309 it seems like Montogmery and Bucks counties should be more Republican however Hoeffel represents a good portion of that stretch and is popular in Montco.  Once you get near the Lehigh Valley it looks very depressing.  Them voting for a neo-con makes little sense to me considering they are a very industialized, very unionized area.

This is a tough one.  Little help, please?

If Jefferson County has gone for a Dem since Wilson, I would be suprised.  Bush will win, no contest.
