Option 1... responsible for the existence of cooking, heating and the general mastering of energy by the human race
Option 2... responsible for the existence of weaponry
Option 3... responsible for the existence of long-distance travel and globalization
Option 4... better candidates if you got one

Its your choose.

The discoverer of fire, of course.

The wheel.  Someone would have eventually discovered fire via natural causes.  Same sorta thing with the spear ... just take a pointy stick.  But understanding the value of rounded edges to convey heavy loads ... that was something.

First to selectively cultivate crops.  More so than fire because that is a mere trick of tools which came from the dexterity present in most of the humanoid primates, rather than an epochal advancement in itself.  More so than the wheel because in many civilizations (though I'm not sure about the Mesopotamian, or original, one) agriculture came before the wheel (which makes sense because a wheel is especially effective in conjunction with a domesticated animal).  More so than writing or any other function of civlization because agriculture made possible the societal circumstances in which civilization found its purpose.  Agriculture set humanity down a singular path which has led to every other advancement we have since gained.

But there definitely was a guy who set on fire with his own hands for the first time in human history. I think you can call him the 'inventor of fire' with some reason.

Write-in: Inventor of written communication
Which one? Writing was invented separately at least six times, in the Lower Danube Valley, Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indus Valley, China, and Mesoamerica (in chronological order.)

Off topic: I note that none of the inventors of writing were Indo-Europeans, but that half of these writing traditions came to an end due to Indo-European invasions. Tongue
