Only less than 5% or so of forum predictions have different popular and electoral vote winners, right?  This seems like an odd question to ask without further contextualization ("assuming that the popular vote winner is different from the electoral one, who has probably won the popular vote?").  Basically this is going to be no different result-wise than simply asking who we think is going to win.

Does the system favor Obama electorally?  I'm sort of confused about this myself.  He seems to be doing well in useless states like Wyoming and Texas and his dreams could be shattered relatively easily but only winning a few Bush states back from '04 but not Ohio.   Yet, Obama also has many more electoral paths to victory than McCain does and is less on the defense electorally.

it would be an embarrassing spectacle for America's "left-wing" party if Obama did not win so therefore I voted for him.

Obama, by 2-3 points.

But that doesn't necessarily mean he is going win the electoral vote. Tongue

That's true, but right now I see a McCain PV win/EV loss as more likely than one for Obama.

I voted Obama.

Yeah, I know.  Though, I can't see McCain doing better than Obama in red states other than maybe LA.

I can't say... my view is biased, because of where my views lie, but also because a healthy majority of my fellow brethren here in northern Minnesota are supporting the senator from Illinois.

I think McCain will do quite well after the Republican Convention, coming out with a net 2% advantage in the poll that holds until election day.
