Previous round:
Thailand         -7 (30.4%)
Uruguay         -16 (69.6%)
Another predictable victory in another low turnout round.
The two participants in the first battle of the third round, had very different paths to here.
Iceland barely defeated one of the favourites, Ireland and then defeated Japan by just two votes. Canada, on the other hand had an easy path, facing weak opposition. I wouldn't like to predict the outcome, as both have great strengths: the great natural beauty of Iceland and the great number of Canadians on the forum, to name just two.
Here is the bracket.

Two countries I've always wanted to visit. Which is strange, given that I can't stand icy cold.

Canada however is less of a monoculture, though it does have the "not a real country" problem. But Canada still wins.

Misconceptions in both instances!

I know in general.

But when compared to Ireland... We do Rain, we don't 'do' snow.

Gah. Missed the vote. Oh well. I don't think I could have chosen one over the other. Tongue
