No. I'd support also not counting the part of NYC that's harlem, Newark, Detroit, Los Angeles, New Orleans for purposes of representation.

OK new question.  I think it has been established that most (or many) forum republicans believe DC should be given representation via Constitutional amendment.  The question now is, would your fellow party members in Congress go along with such a plan?  All of them say that DC should propose a Constitutional amendment but would they actually vote for it if the current measure was a Constitutional amendment?

I think YOU need to check the vote totals - 1 R + 3D + 4I/O = 8 to 0R + 3D + 3I/O=6

Yes, there is only 1 Republican who voted in favor of it (note the statement by padfoot).
