We can still discuss the effects of black supremacy on America.  I heard a few things today to this effect that I greatly agree with.  Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson try really hard to screw up everything MLK acheieved

The thread that black racists have on America is far from obsolete

A few questions for those who hate him:

1.) Do you realize it is a comedy show?
2.) Would the reaction have been the same if he insulted white people?

So it's okay to call Imus a "mullet headed cracker?"

Um yeah, please explain to me how any of these women were actually "hurt" by the comment.  People are retarded, the comment wasn't even bad, notice how people are saying it on TV w/o being beeped out
so anything anyone says on tv is ok and would never cause one to be fired so long as it's not profanity.  got it.

That just shows how hypocritical the media's standards are. That profanity is more objectionable than racist and sexist language...

First, for just this one incident, I don't think Imus should have been fired.

Second, this wasn't just one incident.  Imus was a disgrace; this was just the tipping point.

Third, I've looked at the photos of the game, of the team, and I've seen absolutely no way that the comment was justified.  I didn't spot any tattoos that they claimed the Rutger's team had.  They obviously were not out on the court with long nails, extreme cleavage, tight clothes, dreds, Afros, corn rows, excessive jewelry.  One player had braids; most had their hair pulled back.

If they had appeared "whorish" or did all have braids, corn rows, Afros, dreds,  I'd be defending Imus.  I have heard literally dozens of Black people complaining about younger peoples hairstyle and how they wear clothing; I'm the guy usually defending them.  None of them would look at that group of ladies, in that situation, and say that they were "nappy headed" nor "hos."  I would not either.

Fourth, in terms of apologies, in a simultaneous situation, I heard a radio commentator calling of Revs. Jackson and Sharpton to apologize to the Duke students wrongly accused of rape.  I agree with that commentator; her name is Whoopi Goldberg.
