The main reason I purport my opinions as facts is out of habit as doing so is common and even the norm on most of my other forums.

For example, I don't think saying "Bush is a bad president" is going to get much opposition on DU.

Anyway why didn't dazzleman get half as my crap as me for doing the exact same thing? "Cities are filthy hellholes, liberals are Islam-loving America-haters, blah blah blah"

Exactly.   Your other forums are likely echo chambers.  I am  sure that DU considers Bush a terrorist and sll fundamentalist evil rednecks. I am also sure that your music forums are the same. You may quibble about  a band or two but you still like the same genre and they are likely as exclusionary of any band that does not meet up with your defined indie criteria.

Generally true.

Not really. Lots of people are way into hip-hop and metal. Of course I just completely ignore those threads.

Also if you thought DWTL/Conan and Flyers/Keystone Phil were amusing, you need to see an argument between a hardcore kid and a noise kid. CLASSIC!

BRTD, just try to remember that there is a world outside of your reality or your perception of it.  Your version of life seems to be that if you don't like it or agree with it then it is wrong. You may agree with many ideas of liberalism but your general forum posts are that of a Stalinist i.e. megalomaniacal.

I've never proposed outlawing music I don't like. I've also never proposed forced depopulation of the suburbs (yes, I support policies to discourage suburbanization, but so do plenty of other people)

Well that is nice.

You also never listen to cogent arguments to the contrary. Your endless polls and threads are little different than jmf's bible quotes. Saturation bombing.

The earth is 6000 years old vs. no good music came out before 1980.
Indeed, I doubt any good music came out during the first 99.55% of earth's existence. Smiley

BRTD, for like the tenth time, city-data.com's index is not very good.  They count larceny as equal to murder, as far as I can tell.

This says a lot about the other forums you frequent, and doesn't back up your position in the slightest.

You guys realize this is a poll, and you can choose either option? I'm simply asking for opinions. Clearly I realize the existence of subjective preference, otherwise there would be no option for Elmer City.

But your topic seem to exist so that people can express their subjective preferences, and then you can insult them.  Why do you think people enjoy that?

I'll also point out that many people don't seem to accept subjective preference with me either. Look at all the "there's no way you'd ever like Camden" posts or the ones making fun of the fact I like blight.
