Are my Wednesday night plans racist?

In a nutshell:

There's a self-described "queercore" riot grrl band I figure I'll go see (I saw them a couple weeks ago and they rocked pretty hard, now they're headlining that night and I got nothing else going on), playing a show along with another riot grrl band. However...I intend to show up late because of the first opener. She's a feminist SoundCloud rapper (Apparently "SoundCloud rap" is an actual genre) and the only non-white person playing that night (although obviously race of anyone playing will never ever have any impact whatsoever on if I go to a show or when I show up and wasn't even something I thought about for close to 20 years before modern day intersectional culture decided to label my musical taste as racist. After all I showed up early enough to see these guys opening for Mayday Parade and they were awesome.) Regardless I'm going to skip her because she's a rapper and therefore I have zero interest in seeing her set or any rap set ever.

But *shrug*. Never seen a rap set in my life and that's not going to change.

Which despite the name does not sound like actual emo and hence I don't like it.

I don't see how you can mix actual emo and rap. Can you imagine rapping over this music? I can't...it would just sound silly no matter what.

Oh yeah the two bands I saw rocked. The singer of the headliner seemed to be really enjoying herself since it was her birthday as she mentioned and was all over in the pit with the other band, so I bought her a shot.

Honestly the notion that such a thing even existed would've been unfathomable up until like 5 years ago.

I didn't like rap in high school (and was also turned off by that kids who did there were quite douchey...and also all white) and no one ever accused that of being racist. I think the person to say it was Keystone Phil who was a rap fan despite being a Republican and liked dumping on me.

You know in hindsight it's really amusing that Keystone Phil was kind of the original wokester here in calling non-rap fans racist although he obviously wasn't too serious about it.
