From our super-high room at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Vegas, we could see a huge all-white structure at a distance. Out of curiosity, we needed to go see what it was.
Upon arrival, we noticed it was a Mormon Temple. First church structure I had ever seen that was completely fenced in, and had a guard post and secure gate at the drive-way entry.
We could not enter, and I had some "indifferent" thoughts about this closed system of invitation.

As many as the number of hipster Christian churches I've been to - 0.

I visited the inside of the Boise temple after it was renovated and before it was rededicated. I've also been outside the one in Temple Square and within walking distance of the one in Provo. That would be three unless you count all the ones I've seen from the highway in Utah.

Surprised that a majority of the forum didn't answer 0.

I've seen one – the Portland temple. Never been inside though.
Also went inside the Idaho Falls one but they didn’t really let me do anything. And saw the Rexburg one.

The Washington DC temple is impossible to miss if you've spent any time on the Maryland side of the metropolitan area; it's a huge structure right next to the Beltway that doesn't look like anything else. A friend of my college roommates had Mormon family, so a few times in the fall of 2014 we all got in his van and went to the stake center next to the temple to play indoor soccer. I enjoyed that a lot.

My old office in Sandy Springs was, as the crow flies, less than 500 yards from the Atlanta Georgia temple. Sometimes I'd tell people at work that we were right by the Mormon temple and when they didn't believe me I'd point out the window at the clearly visible statue of Moroni atop the spire. The only person I ever talked to about this who clearly knew about it was one of the data scientists I worked with, who had gone to BYU–Idaho. He seemed impressed that I knew about his part of the world.

Elsewhere, the Oakland California temple is very easily visible looking to the hills from Interstate 880 if you know what you're looking for. I've seen the Salt Lake temple, since I've been to Salt Lake City. I'm sure I've seen some other temples in Mormon country, but the only other one I really remember is the Rexburg Idaho temple, which is impossible to miss considering how big the temple is and how small the town is. I see now that the church has plans to build another temple in Rexburg, which is really something.

Like most people, I've never been inside a temple, but I'd like to. I suppose I could go to Yuba City for the open house at the temple there whenever that happens, although it's a little farther away than I'd like. I'm sure it'll happen at some point at some temple.

I've been inside the Philadelphia temple, which makes the huge Cathedral Basilica of Sts Peter and Paul next door look old and shabby by comparison. Probably intentional.

I've never been inside one, but I know I've at least seen the Salt Lake City Temple, the Seattle/Bellevue Temple, and the DC/Kensington, MD Temple off the top of my head.

Don't know what constitutes a temple either, but I've seen one or two churches. Pretty ordinary buildings. Though I think many years ago I saw their main Cathedral when I was in Salt Lake City. So that was over 40 years ago

Never been to any.

Of the Mormon temples I've seen, half have been Mormon temples.  (Two total, and one of those was actually Community of Christ instead.)

I've never been to one but there is one in the next town over which I always found kind of shocking.

Bit of a "Necro-posting", but still grok the relevance of the thread, especially within the context of religious minorities.

Never been inside any, but pretty sure at minimum have seen (4) temples.

My Wife has been inside at least (1) in Southern Oregon, two times, the one by Central Point, when she went in with some Gal friends from MS and HS,

Doesn't recall how many she has seen over the years from her time in SoCal and Vegas as a kid, but she just showed me the Mormon Prayer thing that people do at Dinner or before a Meal, which is a slight compare and contrast with traditional Christian or Jewish blessings before sharing food.

Pretty sure the one in Bismarck is it. Never seen the Minnesota one (which is in Oakdale, east of St. Paul.)
