Clearly Massive HP and another example of how deranged people like him are

This is a very good move on Biden's part. It is an unfortunate and inescapable fact that lots of unvaccinated people (most of whom are Republicans) who don't get monocolonal antibody treatment are going to die. And meanwhile, many of the unvaccinated Republicans who do get monoclonal antibody treatment will survive as a result of receiving it.

So since there is only a limited amount of monoclonal antibody treatment available, the question ultimately comes down to this: is it better for unvaccinated Republicans in swing states such as Florida to die, or is it better for unvaccinated Republicans in safe states such as Alabama to die?

To that question, the obvious answer is that it is better for more Floridian Republicans to die, so that we can save more Alabamian Republicans.

When a Republican in Alabama dies, there is really no redeeming benefit to it. It is just a pure tragedy. Even if a huge number of Alabama Republicans refuse to get vaccinated and die as a result, Alabama is so heavily Republican that it will continue to vote R regardless. By comparison, Florida is a much more competitive state. So while on a personal level it is still a tragedy if unvaccinated Republicans die in Florida, on a broader social-political level, the impact of that will be to reduce the number of votes Florida Republican candidates receive in all future elections by 1, which with tens of thousands of mostly unvaccinated Floridians dying, could be enough to tip Florida Democratic.

It is true that Republican deaths in Alabama now will have some effect on 2030 re-apportionment, and in theory could make the difference between Alabama getting another Congressional seat or not, but that is a very small and distant impact. Whereas every dead unvaccinated Republican in Florida could start tipping close statewide elections, including Presidential elections in Florida to Dems as early as 2022/2024.

So we should all applaud Biden's policy here.

I would suggest, however, a slight change. Biden should make all voters be ineligible to receive monoclonal antibody treatment (at least until the supply increases so it is more widely available). Non-voters should receive preferential access to this treatment, so that more of them will survive. Because when non-voters die, even if they lean Republican, that doesn't remove any actual Republican votes. This is also a policy that Republicans ought to be able to get behind and support, since it provides a disincentive to vote. This would be a voter suppression measure, so it could get bipartisan support from Republicans as well and make Republicans happy that there would be less voting and fewer voters. So why don't we all come together in a spirit of bipartisanship and unity and support this policy?

And in the meantime, ramp up production of monoclonal antibody treatment. And, you know, if Republicans decide at some point that they want to stop dying, they could also always get vaccinated. There is plenty of vaccine supply. Or not. If they really want to die, then I guess that is ok too, as long as they sign an informed consent form. Go ahead.

Strong FF, I think - though I don't know him well at all and have only read a couple of his posts.
