The Digimon anime blows the Pokemon anime completely out of the water. No opinion on the games, as I've never played more than a few minutes of any game from either franchise.

Digimon was one of my many, many favorite media as a kid.

It could've ended heroically in 2001, but it's a zombie to Season 1 nostalgia at this point...and pretty much nothing except the anime was actually good.

I only really liked it in the interim between Pokemon generations one and two, as a way to preoccupy me, beyond that I never really kept up with it.

I liked both growing up. Digimon's show was far more mature and developed than Pokemon's anime ever was, so I vastly preferred Digimon there. Pokemon games tended to be much better, of course, but there were a few halfway decent Digimon games.
