Same here. She’s at least performed with musicians I personally like such as Hayley Kiyoko, Tegan and Sara, Hayley Williams, Maren Morris, and Natalie Maines.

Kanye has continued to innovate and change the music scene. Whether it was killing Gangsta Rap, or creating the auto tune revolution, he is an innovator and you see that with how newer hip hop artists adore him, guys like Kendrick can't say a bad word about Kanye for instance, and neither can some of the old types like MF Doom (rip) or RZA (double rip).

I think a lot of the hate from Kanye comes from people not understanding what he is trying to say but the hilarious thing is Kanye is aware of this and made countless songs about this. And that's what so real about Kanye. He knows he's not a good speaker and his song is about things like him struggling with fame and ego and all that kind of stuff.

Runaway for instance. That's all about his struggles to express himself coherently. Street Lights is one of the rawest songs I've heard in terms of pure emotion. There's just so much to unpack with Kanye.

Taylor seems cool. I never really got into her music. It does feel she was more influential early on. I'm sure she's fine but I don't she's really a match for Kanye. If you guys really try to get Kanye's music and not judge him for his scandals, I think you'd reach a greater appreciation for him. And once you do that, you'd also realize the scandals kind of add this great context to his music.

I don't care for either of them musically.  Kanye is an asshole because of his mental conditions and I'm not sure I know any of his songs.  Was he "stuck in a closet"?  I really only know of Kanye from other people making pop cultural references about him.

Taylor is the fireworks out of the cupcake boobs lady, yes?


I'd much rather be forced to watch her/be in a large group of her fans than be forced to watch Kanye/be in a large group of his fans.

Well, they both have bad politics, thin skin, and musical talent, but Taylor seems fake while Kanye seems more genuine. They both seem like awful people, but Kanye seems like he's more willing to admit it. I have to give him credit for that.

More like that I've listened to very specific related subgenres for so long that anything else just sounds "off".

Both are talented in very different respects, although Kanye has been off of his game for several years at this point whereas Taylor has just gotten better and better with time (barring some missteps, like reputation).

Both also have some absolutely insane fanbases. (And the idea that Kanye made Taylor famous is beyond ridiculous, lol.)
