Vice President Kamala Harris lost to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2024's presidential election.

The 2028 Democratic field is wide open, but Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff, fresh from a 2026 reelection victory, runs for president and wins the nomination.

President DeSantis and Vice President Noem are easily re-nominated.
