Great regional, ideological, and personal balance.

Most likely, sounds like a very solid ticket. Two very Democratic Democrats, solidly within the party’s mainstream. Some of BRTD’s and Barkley’s differences could be complementary enough to strengthen the ticket as well. Plus a Southerner-Minnesotan ticket has worked out for the Democrats a couple of times before.

Yes, they would be. This is a ticket I would vote for, depending on the Republican opponents.

Replace BRTD with Frank honestly and that’s your best ticket.

Sadly, they would lose due to massive swings in the Catholic Vote.

The Rio Grande would see an R+10 swing while Appalachia sees perhaps a D+5 swing.

Did you forget that I am a Catholic convert? This would easily outweigh BRTD's anti-Catholicism.

KYWildman's pro-gun views would help this ticket tremendously in Appalachia and the Mountain West. Nevada and Arizona would almost certainly go for the KYWildman/BRTD ticket, and Appalachian counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Virginia could see double-digit swings.

We would constantly argue over the background music at campaign strategy meetings.

I can't see how anyone familiar with actual emo lyrics can think that.

LMAO, you actually think people vote on issues. Besides, the NRA and GOP machines will make sure Alben is perceived as a gun grabbing weasel no matter his views.

What’s next are you gonna suggest Joe Manchin would actually do well as a presidential candidate?

If this hypothetical ticket wins, it will be through the suburbs like any other Democratic ticket in 2024. Yeah maybe they do a few points better in McDowell county, but double digit swings on the presidential level today don’t just happen because “muh candidate quality”

I'm not voting for a lesser evil between two evils either. I learned that lesson already. Besides, we might not agree either on who the lesser evil is.
