Statement on Hurricane Laura
Despite that I am an outgoing Delegate, I took an oath to uphold the safety and prosperity of this land. To protect it from harm and to safeguard our prosperity. Today, I am here for countless families across our region who have experienced the devastation and loss inflicted by this horrible natural disaster. I stand here committed to you that the Southern government will do whatever means necessary to ease this hardship during this time. I commend the President and Governor MB for taking swift action to ensure that our citizens are safeguarded. Speaker Tmth stands ready to act as well. I have utmost confidence in our public officials to handle and respond to this crisis. And I too, am here with you all. I suffer and mourn with you because you will be always be my fellow Southerners. We share a camaraderie like no other, and no storm or anything else can break that bond.
Bless our land and bless our region to heal and recover stronger than we were before.
