What type of Republican vice presidential candidate do you see a Republican picking for their running mate? A Bush I type? A Quayle type? A Kemp type? A Cheney type? Palin? Ryan? Pence?

Or something new, a bold, daring choice, a minority running mate? Or a safe minority choice (a la Condi Rice?)

A good VP always depends on the top of the ticket obviously, if the GOP continues in a Trumpist direction then it'd be smartest to pick someone like Niki Haley or some other safe minority choice.

Then again if Haley is the nominee herself (don't think that's likely) then she'd wanna pick a right-wing cultist to keep the crazies in line, so it just depends

Probably a Cheney type (good foreign policy experience)

Someone in the mold of Quayle or Palin would become a liability. Also inexperience like Kemp and Ryan (only being.congressmen) does not help. A Pence type would mean appealing to a shrinking Christian right. Bush I type would also be good, but in this time someone who is that much of an insider would alienate more voters than they would attract
