I feel like one of the only honest right-wingers here so, I'll say it : If Ginsburg does die in 2020, I will request the nominee be off held until 2021 and I will request that the turtle, Cornyn, Thune, Trump, and others believe the same. In the congress, I wouldn't vote for a Nominee during an election year. I have honest morals and I stick to them.

I hate to say it, but you realize you are in the minority here among Republicans?

In the name of fair play and keeping public order, ESPECIALLY if it's Ginsburg or Breyer, the nominee should be held off. A 6-3 court is not worth giving the left more ammo to argue that norms need to be torn down.

I very much doubt it will be, though. De facto, the "rule" was about what happens when the Presidency and Senate are split. McConnell phrased it badly.
