Would Bill Nelson have won the Florida election if Broward County’s elections department were more competent in their jobs?

Not sure. Possibly. Nelson lost by about 10,000 votes, not sure if those votes would be enough to secure a victory.

Isn't the answer a solid "maybe"?

It's hard to say for sure.

The situation in Broward wouldn't have mattered if Nelson (as well as Gillum) hadn't tanked in the suburban/exurban counties around Orlando & Tampa.

Impossible to know, but clearly Florida sucks at this whole "elections" thing.

Why can't Broward just figure out how to count votes?

Possibly. But at the same time I find it hard to see him winning simultaneously with DeSantis. I know that Nelson outperformed Gillum, but only barely. They were still basically performing similarly. Either way though, I've said it dozens of times and will say it again, f*** Florida.
