We've already seen some Galaxy Brain-takes here about how losing the House would actually be the best thing to happen to Trump and all that. So if on November 7 it's clear Speaker Pelosi is coming, will r/The_Donald, various alt-right sites and our own resident Trumpists be claiming that this was intentionally done as part of an 11-dimensional chess move by Trump to guarantee his re-election?

I'm reminded of a 4chan post about how the reason Unite the Right 2 was such an epic fail was because it was intentionally done so and intended to be a flop, because they figured in doing so they'd lure out all the Antifa and "radical left" into the spotlight and make them look ridiculous while the actual rally was tiny and insignificant. I can totally see the same sort of thing here, "Trump just wanted to lose the House to run against Speaker Pelosi in 2020!", etc.

There is no denying that you can lay some blame on the GOP establishment to give away control of the House so they can blame Trump, assuming they lose it.

Honestly the most likely outcome will be

GOP loses house, a bunch of governors, but net a senate seat or two. This will result in the GOP and Trumpists screaming it was a RED TSUNAMI at the top of their lungs.
