I ran this poll when I first joined, so I wanted to see how the feelings have changed.

P.S. Sorry about the Mayor Street thing. I just couldn't help myself. I had to throw a joke in somewhere. Smiley

casey can beat santorum but i do like schwartz

Allyson Schwartz is a class act and i think she should stay in congress then challenge for spectors seat when he retries in 2010. she will win in 2006. but keep an eye on her. Shes very stubborn too - great quality to have in washington!

I'd vote for Pennachio personally. Sane Democrats would vote for Casey.

Yeah, any candidate with an article written by some guy calling him "the next Paul Wellstone" on his website will loose.

I vote for Bob Casey.

Casey...

...once again another poll by SoS about the PA Dem primary and once again Casey wins it easily.

give it time. Pennacchio will win, just give it time. (perhaps not in this poll, but certainly in another.)

I agree.  BUt no way Schwartz, Hoeffel or Street will run in 2006.  (If it were a Street v. Pennachio primary though-I would definitely vote for Pennachio)

The facts beg to differ. An obscure college professor stands no chance against a figure as popular as Casey. It's also a bad sign when you quote a DailyKOS poll on your website. Face it, Pennacchio is not going anywhere but the unemployment line.

Casey continues to shoot himself in the foot. Plus I thought it was great that he cancelled another public event. If he wins, it'll be much closer than people think it will be.

Yeah, maybe 98%-2%, not 99% to 1%.

I hate to stomp on a kids' dreams but Pinocchio isn’t going to even break 20% against Casey IMO.

Whats more after that Casey will most likley beat Santorum, thankfully most PA Dems are somewhere close to the American mainstream and what’s more want to beat Santorum, for that reason Casey will win the primary big time and should go on to oust Santorum by clear though not huge margin.

Honestly, I'd just write in someone as a protest vote to Casey.  If the race were getting close somehow, I would just hold my nose and vote for Casey.

That was one of the most intelligent things you've ever posted and I strongly agree with that assessment.  She is a very good Congresswoman for my district, though Keystone will disagree.  My pick was Joe Hoeffel, but I know many won't agree with me on that.  He reminds me of Dick Gephardt and I think would do well in populist parts of PA.  I do think he would be better sitting out in 2010 in favor of Allyson Schwartz largely because she comes off very genteel and is a formidable fundraiser.  Her opponent will likely be Melissa Hart or former Congressman Pat Toomey, which I think she could go toe to toe with.

I've seen some really freaky things in Democratic Primaries in PA.  One question is how much will Casey, Jr. be hurt.

What is this? Where is Dr. Bill Cosby the hillarious black actor (I think he is from the Phily region)? He would be the greatest nominee ever because all he would talk about is Kodak Film and pudding-pops and how much he hates ebonics. Cheesy
