My definition is someone who just loves politics the way that some people love sports.  A political junkie, for example, would know that 218 is the magic number for a majority in the House.

There are always people out there who are even more of a junkie than you are, like all those young whiz kids that work on Capitol Hill.

If you know the answer to these three questions, you should probably vote "YES":

1. How many times has a presidential candidate lost the popular vote but won the electoral college?
2. What's a dark horse?
3. What does PVI stand for?

Yeah. I knew the answers to those three questions. I also check the "generic congressional vote" polls everyday, Trump's approval rating, along with polls and news of all upcoming political races. Election nights are like the superbowl for me; I get some snacks, grab my laptop, turn on the TV and go to town. Some may call that sad; I don't care. Politics is a roller coaster that can be fun or unbelievably gut-wrenching sometimes (think November 6th, 2012 Cry), but I never find myself wanting to get off the ride.

I'm pretty sure that's a joke, but either way, I'm just more of an introvert who likes what he likes and isn't afraid to go a bit obsessive with said likes. Angry

I have autism, so I can make the joke. Tongue  Political demographics and cartography is interesting and useful in a number of fields, but it's one of those niche subjects that most people don't think much about, especially people who don't watch CNN or follow Nate Silver.

I'm sorry, but if you have an account on this site and think the answer is "no" you are deluding yourself. It's like being passed out in a crack den and thinking "hehe, glad I'm not like the rest of the crackheads in here".

If you've heard of Kara Eastman and you live outside of Nebraska, you might be a political junkie.
