I say either 2 or 5 is most likely, 6 is also likely, given the candidates are the popular ones.

It can't possibly be a libertarian Dem or a populist Republican?

Moderate Democrat or Moderate Republican.  Someone who gives off a "uniter" vibe.  Someone who can work bipartisanly to accomplish what is best for the country.

well, a conservative Republican is also likely to be a populist (by todays standards).  I don't know if libertarian Democrats exist in real politics (they do on the forum and a tiny bit in real life), but I figure these 7 categories fit almost everyone who's likely to get elected.

A conservative to moderate Republican, or a moderate Republican who espouses conservative values as well.

Now you’re just being blind to reality, we stand a very good chance of having a female, black, lesbian, disabled, atheist as our next president Wink

I remember that line about the "female black lesbian disabled atheist"...except I think it was buddhist, not atheist...from a cartoon where a PR guy was telling the cardinals who to vote for.

Either a moderate to populist Democrat ala Bayh or Warner or a conservative Republican like Allen. A "moderate" (liberal) Republican could not get the nomination and a liberal Democrat won't be able to beat a Republican (IMO).

Someday we may elect a black president.  And someday, we may elect a gay president.  And, who knows, maybe at some point we'll elect a gay black president.  But one combination I don't see happening is gay, black, and dead.

If he didn't pull out of the race before, I guess that would rule out Jeb Bush!!!
