Clearly Horrible Decision overall, unless it's not too long afterwards or to bring up an interesting point of discussion. I don't see the point of reviving a let's say 3 year old post with just a comment saying "LOL GUYZ, WE WON AND S***" but maybe a 4-5 month old post-election post discussing predictions and polls and stuff and analyzing what we or the general public/pundits thought wrong and discuss that I could see.

Usually HD. If it's relevant enough, however, it can be justified.

Or if it's funny.

We should allow people to post when they're dead - we don't discriminate

This is about my view. Sometimes justified, but usually terrible.

I can name some brain-dead users. Do they qualify?

Honestly necro-posting isn't too bad imo. As long as you aren't necroing something that is like "Take a blind guess on who will win the 2016 election"

Bumping polls taken a year and half before election day and pointing out how off they ended up being is the most annoying Atlas tradition.

If the person doing it has an actual point to make, and writes something of substance, then it's fine. If it's just "OLOLO Atlas hax wuz WRONG!" then it's annoying.

I'd say it all depends on the thread and the post that brought it back. Not really inherently good or bad in my opinion.

If you make a ridiculously overconfident prediction or endorsement of a certain poll then you are subject to potential scrutiny in the form of necroposting.
