I certainly think that there are some wonderful unique things about America, but obviously, HC.

Well, I believe that America is a country that is uniquely blessed by God, but I'm not a big fan of the term "American Exceptionalism" itself.

There are some ways in which America is exceptional, but it doesn't really make sense as any sort of guiding principle. We have many of the same problems any other country does, and we have to deal with these problems in a typically mundane fashion.

Every nation is exceptional. That being said, for me and my preferences, the United States is the greatest nation on Earth. I simply would not want to live anywhere else.

A dumb concept, since every nation is exceptional in some form.  You need not believe in American exceptionalism to be patriotic or believe that America is great.

-America isn't great, though. This is quite obvious. I expect it to be made great again in a couple years due to the great efforts of this administration.

When was the last time America was great?

-The GOP administration screwed it up in 2006, is my best answer. Maybe 2000 (unemployment rate bottomed out in December 2000), but 2005 felt pretty great to me. It had definitely lost its luster by 2007.
