Where does the insanity from the Trump cult end? How far from American norms will the Trump-worshipers reach to before their reign eventually ends? 


President Trump. We're already past peak adoration. Trump is expected to govern. He gets a lot of devotion, but no more than any other beloved and respected President. He's treated by his followers much like FDR, Kennedy, Reagan, and Obama were by there most ardent supporters.

Führer Trump. Trump the autocrat. The Red Hats become a social movement. Followers are irrational. Striking out at non-believers becomes common and acceptable. Open clashes with critics as violence and abuse of the law are used against them.

Kim Jong-Trump. Trump the monarch. Near-deification. Statues and images everywhere. Ludicrous paens to his superhuman abilities. There's at least some connection to reality and existing order, even if twisted beyond belief. Public criticism of Trumpism is verboten.

God-King Trump. Trump the pharaoh. His cult becomes completely disconnected from reality. Open Trump-worship, identification with Jesus, etc. Utter rejection of the Republic and democracy. Open embrace of theocratic Trumpocracy. Nation is forcibly converted to Trump-worship.

Somewhere between Obama and Mussolini, I lean towards the latter. Unlike the average Obama supporter in '08, I see more people willing to harass or hit someone who's protesting.

This meme is really annoying. It's very clear that the GOP wasn't comparing Trump to Jesus, because Christians believe that each Christmas symbolizes the birth of Jesus for the first time, hence why He's referred to as a "new King."
