USA or Western Europe?

Both USA and Western Europe are rich, have high HDI, have liberal democracies, have capitalist economies. But they have some political/economic/cultural diferences. Which one do you prefer?

From Australia, have visited USA and Europe.

I prefer Norway. If I could live there, I would in a flash. Beautiful country.

USA has the best people in the world. It's one thing to talk about equality, but not many countries on this planet have it like the USA. There is a basic respect for having a diverse culture that you don't feel in other countries.

I lived for a year in Austria.. it was a wonderful time.  I met wonderful people and really enjoyed the way of life there... fully knowing I would be coming home at the end.  It really made me appreciate the U.S. and the things we do right (choices, people.  As Americans, we have choices like nobody else.  This is something to be immensely proud of).  It also made me appreciate the things much of western Europe does right (like transportation and a less hurried lifestyle and better attitudes about drinking).

Western Europe/Western Europe, but I like the U.S. too, obviously. But in general I think people's quality of life is higher here.

Rather interested by places 'under construction' like Asia or Africa rather than by some 'under unconstruction', but yeah, u might appreciate serenity when u back here.
