Does the Independence Party has a candidate to play spoiler? Otherwise, no Republican can win statewide in MN.

Amusingly they backed McMullin and gave him their ballot line.

For the question: no. Polls aren't showing here close either even if you want to believe that.

Trump has not led here since January, and Clinton is doing about the same as Obama did in 2012--this combined with it's voting history Minnesota is the state I'm most certain won't go for Trump.

Could a generic Republican have had a chance at winning?  Perhaps.  Can Donald Trump win it while he trails Hillary by seven points nationwide?  Absolutely not.

No. He could have made it more competitive if he had not said things about Latinos in June 2015, he could have made it, very, very competitive.
