America's foes: Trumpers vs Tankies

And eventually we will. Walk into a college classroom and say the Soviet Union or Mao was bad and they'll start laughing at you like you said the Earth was flat. Hell when I was in college I encountered multiple North Korea who thought they were "fighting imperialism" and that was 10-15 years ago it's got to be worse now. We've got an entire generation on the left who think elections are a white male scheme because no one can really make choices in a capitalist patriarchal society, even if they occasionally make bad faith appeals to democracy when their side wins an election as in 2020.

In the short run I guess I'm more worried about a wingnut blowing up a pipe bomb somewhere but in the long run the far left is the much greater threat in no small part because they're winning the culture war.

Once again, you are railing against a group that mostly exists online.

The Trump cult is a real force to be reckoned with in real life. Lolbertarians and tankies alike are not.

I get that it might seem passé and boring to you to go with the obvious choice of the Trumpers here, but that does not make it any less the objectively correct choice. They're the most significant threat to American democracy in generations. None of these other "movements," which would all but cease to exist if Twitter did, come close.

Also I'm not sure how you can logically conclude that a group that at least is rationally self-interested in its aims -- to obtain a tax cut -- is more dangerous than a group you yourself call "mad dogs" who will burn it all down and destroy everything. They too have a singular aim: Power. And if they get it they will drag this country back to the Stone Age. Look at Nick Fuentes, an apparent favorite of Trump, to see just how Nazi it can get. A Randian dystopia looks like paradise in comparison!

Tankies are generally either permanent edgelords, impressionable teenagers and young adults who don't yet know not to use Twitter as the basis for their entire worldviews, or both, and those demographics are not actually a driving political force in the real world.

Trumpists, on the other hand...

America's worst foreign enemies are the Tankies, specifically Chinese tankies.

On the other hand, our worst domestic enemies are the Trumpers as they enable the emerging plutocracy.

In general the far-right is a bigger threat to America on both front than the far-left, because only a blind fool still thinks of China's fascist regime to be far-left because of their red coat of paint. Radical Islam, a lesser threat than China but a problem for the world as a whole, is also best described as far-right.

Gonna go with Trumpists here, given how they are more numerous, even though they are significantly less radical and better in their politics than tankies. If it was not for this consideration I would have voted for tankies.
