Last time they tried this, it backfired spectacularly.

And now, they're going to try again in an election year? Oh boy.

Hopefully they call Hillary back in to receive an 11 hour spanking again. It really helped her poll numbers last time.

As far as Proud Moderate's claim, I have an actual law degree from an actual law school that is one of the top law schools in the country.

You are "seriously" funny !

If it gives a chance for actual explanations, great.  Clinton has everything to gain, and Republicans have everything to lose from this.  If Clinton did nothing wrong, let her sit in the chair and explain it to us.

I'm sick of evasiveness and dismissals.

That claim was a lie in itself.

I hope so. It would be extremely embarrassing if the first female major party presidential candidate was moonlighting as a right-wing kook at Atlas forum.

I think it's all talk really.
They will discuss nonsense with the FBI Director on Thursday, and then soon afterwards they are all on summer recess to campaign in their own districts.
Just a bunch of psycho-babble from the tea bagging Pubs in The House.

She has sat in many chairs and explained many things, but it just never matters. The accusations never stop, no matter how many times she is cleared of whatever the current issue is at the time.

I'm sick of witch hunts and wasting tax-payer's money on every single thing Hillary does. People need to grow up and move on!

Do they think this is going to help? Comey just served up at least 4-5 attack ads' worth of scathing criticism of Clinton and confirmed that she's been lying about the emails for the past year, and they choose to start another circus?

Very true.

Hillary could, potentially, endure "Death by a Thousand Cuts", but that's not good enough for the GOP.  What happens when the cost of these hearings are made public.

I despise Hillary on a personal level, and I have little sympathy for her.  She brought all of this on herself.  But she's also an American citizen.  The FBI; not Andy Taylor and the Mayberry Sheriff, but the FBI investigated Hillary and found no cause for a crime.  And most of the Republicans in the Congress are lawyers; they know full well the reasoning of why it's not a crime.  There comes a point where people have a right to no longer be investigated.  If they want to investigate James Comey, let them try.  If they want to investigate Loretta Lynch, let them have at it.  But Hillary has been investigated by the best.  It is not justice, not even in Hillary Clinton's case, to be perpetually "under investigation" for things that are, fairly convincingly, not crimes.

...

But again, my opinion is that the decision to not refer charges was political, not legal. Of course you have to expect Congress fighting back politically here. There's the law and then there's politics. Both parties are playing it. It's an election year.

Why can't people just accept the verdict and move on? Why does there always have to be a conspiracy attached, or claims of a rigged system or some other such accusation?

What some people are really saying is that they KNOW Hillary is GUILTY and needs to PAY for what she did. They KNOW the system is rigged because the FBI didn't find her guilty of a crime.

But the FBI investigated and presented their findings. Let's close the book on this and move on. There is nothing to gain by beating a dead horse....again.

I'd actually respect the Republican leadership a hell of a lot more if they were just honest about it:

"We are officially investigating Mr. Comey's decision, as we wanted an indictment, so as to permanently damage or end Clinton's electoral prospects in November. Because we did not get the partisan results we were looking for, we are now preparing additional actions, utilizing government resources, to reduce Hillary Clinton's poll numbers"

And the media will play along and pretend they are acting out of genuine integrity. Because the horse race is of the utmost importance.
