God, I'd hate for him to win, it would cause everyone to freak out.

Probably a close race. A Sanders win in California wouldn't do much harm to her, especially if it's close, meaning that it takes days for the race to be called. She'll get the press of clinching a majority of pledged delegates, assuming she breaks 20%.

Also, why should we assume that this won't hurt turnout among Sanders supporters as well?

Most ballots are cast by mail in CA anyway.

It won't hurt too much in CA considering how the majority of Clinton people vote by mail-in.

I hope turnout isn't effected on either side, but who knows.

This should not affect the vote tomorrow.

I think it'll hurt turnout a bit tomorrow which will obviously impact Sanders more than Clinton. Most of Clinton's people voted early.

I think Hillary has an advantage to because her voters are also motivated by the down ballot races. Im not sure Sanders supporters care as much.

I think it will help Hillary just slightly, because those who will pull the lever tomorrow, will just think ... "well, I might as just well vote for her, since she is the winner anyway."
Because the race seems to be quite close, even just a-little help, can guarantee her a win in the biggest state.

I've always figured Hillary would win, but if Bernie upset here, that would be a mess for the Clinton camp.

I honestly believe the AP story yesterday will help Clinton (maybe not strategically, in terms of party unification, but tactically in California). AFAIK, nobody who has clinched has ever gone on to do worse in a state than they were previously projected to. Trump was not going to get 75% in Washington. Romney was not going to get 68% in Arkansas. And granted, their opponents had dropped out, but I do expect a boost of some kind for Clinton due to demoralized Sanders supporters staying home.
