Currently, about 20% of Canadians are francophone primarily in Quebec and northern New Brunswick. Outside these areas, however, no one is Francophone. All federal government services are bilingual and everything on federal land (e.g. airports, national parks, etc) is required to be bilingual. All consumer products must have their packaging in both English and French.

What do you think about it?

Personally I think all federal government services should be bilingual but I don't see why corporations should be bilingual. If you want to shut yourself out of a big part of the country I don't see why you can't

Slight note: Large bilingual areas in Eastern and Northern Ontario, and in Manitoba, as well.

True, but not very much.

Have a national referendum on whether we want French to be our official language or not.  The results will be binding.  I'd vote  the French.

If you're too lazy to learn French, then you're too lazy to be employed. This coming from a person who doesn't know very much French.

It should not be necessary for businesses to be bilingual.

Il ne faut pas que les enterprises soient bilingues.

I can't think of anything to add to this statement, so I'll just quote it.

Let Quebec be independent already, and screw the Métis.

And give us Alberta.  More room for our militias.
